This vegan green smoothie recipe is delicious! Filled with flavours of chocolate, blueberry, and peanut butter, it is the perfect way to get your greens in!
Try this smoothie for breakfast or a snack during the day. Don’t worry about the spinach, because you won’t even taste it. The chocolatey cacao powder and maple syrup create the perfect amount of sweetness to offset the taste of leafy greens.

Freezing Bananas for Smoothies
I recommend that you peel and slice your bananas before freezing. This way you can use different amounts for different recipes instead of being stuck with one whole frozen banana when you don’t need the entire thing. Layer the slices in a container and make sure to put a piece of parchment paper between each layer so that the banana slices don’t stick together. I learned that the hard way. Try to make each slice the same size and count how many slices your bananas get chopped into so that you know how many slices are equal to one banana. For example, I find that with a large banana I get about 12-14 slices, so if I want half of a frozen banana in my smoothie, I use 6-7 frozen slices.
*If your blender is awesome, you may only need to cut your bananas in half before freezing. My blender is not very powerful, so I need to use smaller pieces.
