    Apple cinnamon breakfast smoothie

It can be really difficult to make a quick and nutritious breakfast in the morning.

    I totally understand.

You’re rushing around, trying to get out the door, and maybe that sugary granola bar is all that you have time to grab.

BUT, with just a few extra minutes, you can make this yummy apple cinnamon breakfast smoothie. You can even prep the ingredients the night before and pour your smoothie into a sealable cup to take with you in the morning!

What you need for this breakfast smoothie

This apple cinnamon breakfast smoothie is packed with nutrition. Here are the ingredients:

    • Maple syrup
    • Peanut butter
    • Cinnamon

    Prepping the Ingredients

Make sure that you freeze your banana ahead of time. You could use an unfrozen banana, but your smoothie wouldn’t be as thick. I would also recommend that you add ice to cool your smoothie down if you aren’t using a frozen banana.

Before freezing your banana, you should slice it up into a few pieces. How many pieces really depends on how powerful your blender is. If you have something like a Vitamix, blending large pieces will likely be fine, but for many blenders, smaller pieces of frozen fruit will work much better. If you are using small slices, make sure you layer them in a container with parchment paper to separate each layer before freezing. Skipping this step could cause your banana slices to stick together during the freezing process and it could be difficult to separate them when you need them for your smoothie!

If you want to make this smoothie quickly in the morning, I also recommend slicing your apple the night before. You can peel it if you want a smoother texture, but I leave the peel on for added nutrients such as fiber, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C.
