Vegan at Chili's - Here are the Options

Chili's doesn't have any vegan meals on their menu, but they have some appetizers and sides that you can put together to make a meal!

Before we get started with the vegan options available at Chili's, it's important to note that although the fried items are cooked in soybean oil, there is cross-contamination with animal products.

Here is a disclaimer from Chili's:

“Vegan items contain no animal-derived products. Because we use shared fryers in our restaurants, fried foods are exposed to animal product during the cooking process (e.g., French Fries cooked in same oil as Chicken Crispers)."

    Vegan options at Chili's

    Vegan appetizers

    • Bottomless Tostada Chips & Salsa (cross-contact with animal products in fryer)
    • Fresh Guacamole & Chips (cross-contact with animal products in fryer)
    • Fried Pickles without Ranch Dressing (cross-contact with animal products in fryer)

    Vegan tortillas

    • Corn Tortilla
    • Flour Tortilla

    Vegan sides and toppings

    • Side Mexican Rice & Beans
    • Side Fries (cross-contact with animal products in fryer)
    • Roasted Asparagus
    • Steamed Broccoli
    • Sweet Corn on the Cob
    • Guacamole
    • Salsa
    • Avocado Slices
    • Pickles

There are no vegan fajitas on the Chili’s menu, but you can order sides to make your own. Do not order the “Black Bean & Veggie Fajitas” on the menu. On the allergy menu, it is stated that these fajitas contain egg.

Instead, you can order separate ingredients to create your own vegan fajitas. Order flour or corn tortillas with Mexican Rice and Black Beans. Order guacamole and/or salsa to use as toppings. You can also order vegetable sides.

    Vegan sauce

    • Original BBQ Sauce
    • House BBQ Sauce

    Vegan kids menu

On the kids menu at Chili's, the only vegan options are sides.

    • Side Corn on the Cob
    • Side Fresh Pineapple
    • Side Fries (cross-contact with animal products in fryer)
    • Side Mandarin Oranges
    • Side Steamed Broccoli

    Vegan salads

    • Carribean Salad with Citrus Balsamic Vinaigrette – Ensure you order without chicken or shrimp. This salad includes pineapple, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, red bell peppers, green onions, and cilantro.
    • Side House Salad with Citrus Balsamic Vinaigrette – Order without croutons, or cheese. This salad includes tomatoes, red onions, and cucumbers.

The only vegan salad dressing at Chili's is Citrus Balsamic Vinaigrette.

    Chili's vegan meal idea

For an appetizer, get chips with guacamole or salsa. You could also get the fried pickles without ranch (ask for barbecue sauce instead).

For a main, I suggest making your own fajitas. Order corn or flour tortillas with rice and black beans. Add guacamole and salsa, and whatever vegan vegetable sides you want.

If you want a larger meal, add one of the vegan salad options listed above.
