This vegan cream cheese bagel sandwich is flavorful and satisfying! It makes a great lunch with a side of fries or a salad.
This bagel sandwich can easily be made gluten-free as long as you use a gluten-free bagel.
This bagel is filled with a delicious cashew cream cheese and various nutritious veggies for a filling meal!
Ingredients

For this recipe, you will need:
- Bagel of choice
- Onion cashew cream cheese (tap for the recipe)
- Lettuce
- Cucumber slices
- Alfalfa sprouts
- Red onion slices
- Avocado slices
- Sprinkle ground black pepper
- Sprinkle dried dill weed
Adjust ingredient quantities based on your preference and the size of your bagel.
How to assemble
You can start by lightly toasting your bagel if desired.
Spread some of the vegan cashew cream cheese onto both slices of your bagel.
On one slice, add some lettuce and cucumber slices.
Sprinkle some pepper and dill weed onto the cucumber slices.
Next, add some thinly sliced red onion, alfalfa sprouts, four avocado slices, and another piece of lettuce.
Place the other bagel slice on top and enjoy!
Tips
- I recommend slicing the onion quite thin so that the taste isn’t overpowering. Also don’t add too much, but adjust based on your personal preference.
- Place a piece of lettuce on the bottom and top layer of your bagel sandwich to hold everything in.
- If you use the cashew cream cheese recipe provided, you will have plenty leftover. Use it on other sandwiches or as a dip for veggies, chips, and crackers.
Substitutions
- I strongly recommend using the cashew cream recipe that is linked below for this recipe. You could also use any other vegan cream cheese that you enjoy, but I personally haven’t been able to find any store-bought vegan cream cheese that I really love.
- Because this is such a simple recipe, you can easily add or remove any ingredients.
- Additional ingredients you may want to add: tomato slices, shredded carrot, pickle slices.
