Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen sweet cherries (pitted)
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder or cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¾ cups unsweetened oat milk or almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. You may need to add a bit more milk to get things blended if you don’t have a high-powered blender, because this smoothie is quite thick.

Notes

If you want to turn this into a smoothie bowl that is thick enough to eat with a spoon, you can use ½ cup of plant-based milk. This will require a high-powered blender.
